Frederick Living is pleased to shine the spotlight on Mary Alice Mack as she celebrates 35 years of service. Mary Alice was born August 24 and was raised on a dairy farm in Perkiomenville. She has an older brother, David. During her high school years, she volunteered at Frederick whenever possible and eventually was hired as a part time nurse’s aid.
After graduating from Perkiomenville School/North Montco Votech School, she became a full time employee. Mary Alice has provided care in many areas: Skilled Nursing, Dining Services, Adult Day Care and Personal Care. She proudly tells everyone that she loves taking care of people. Her goal is to make each person smile; whether it is a pat on the back or kind words. It is such a rewarding job especially in a community where everyone is so caring.
In 1998, she married Jim Mack. They share the love and joy of two daughters, Annie and Cindy.
Outside the community, she is active in church activities at New Hanover Lutheran Church. Camping and going out to eat are also fun pastimes for the Mack’s.
One day she would like to travel but, for now, she anxiously awaits the birth of her first grandchild in March.
We applaud Mary Alice and thank her for her dedication
and loyalty to the staff and residents. She truly helps everyone “live well’ at Frederick living.
