Bark for Life

Frederick’s Bark for Life Raises Almost $950 for The American Cancer Society
Frederick Living residents, staff, volunteers, friends, and members of the local community made this year’s Bark for Life fundraiser another huge success! Forty dogs both large and small arrived through the front entrance on December 2nd to have their special moment with Santa and Mrs. Claus captured on film. Bystanders enjoyed watching the sometimes well-behaved and sometimes rowdy canines as their owners stood behind the photographer to get their attention – and the results were as beautiful as always.
Almost $950 was raised for the American Cancer Society of Pottstown through the photos and a bake sale comprised of goodies created by volunteers, as well as a homemade dog bone and Bark for Life calendar sale. Barbara Lynch, a residential living resident, also donated 10% of her floral and jewelry sales to the cause.
The event also included a community open house, a poinsettia and holiday greens sale, a display by the Frederick Train Club, and special gift shop hours.
