Engage Live Episode 17 – October 2026

October 2, 2026

Hello and welcome to Engage Live, a monthly video update from Frederick Living, where you will discover the abundant opportunities that you have to live with purpose in community. I’m Betsy Natter, the Storyteller, and I’m Lisa McCartin, Director of Sales. Today we join you from our Studio Deluxe apartment balcony. Call me to schedule your tour.

Be sure to join us for our five-week downsizing series that begins on Wednesday, October 14th at 1:00. Jill Kierney from Specialty Moves by Design will be joining us. You can come to one session or all of the five sessions.

Also on Friday, October 9th, we are hosting our Fall Open House and Micro Community Fair. It is a great event to see accommodations, tour the campus, all levels of care, plus meet some residents and find out where you can find your purpose here. That is from 10:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. Call to register.

Then kicking off our fall education series on Thursday, October 8th at 1:30 p.m. there will be a presentation on textiles and quilting in the 18th and 19th centuries. This presentation is by a domestic historian who will talk about the cultural and people aspects of that period and textiles and quilting and really the beautiful pieces of artwork that were not only utilitarian but were very artistic and sustained the community. So, that’ll be something you won’t want to miss.

Then, on Saturday, October 24th, The Ornate Dance Theater Company will be performing at 3 p.m. in our auditorium, and they are a dance company of young professional dancers from the Lancaster area whose mission is to reach the hearts of people through the medium of dance.

And mark your calendars now. On Saturday, December 5th, we will be hosting our third annual

Christmas village. It’s a fun event for the whole family. Santa will be here. There’ll be a bake sale, craft fair, and all kinds of good things for the kids.

For these events and more, please visit our website at www. frederickliving.org/events.

We hope to see you on campus soon.
