Lighting the Way Campaign

We’re excited and pleased to announce that we have met our Minimum Goal for the 125th Anniversary: Lighting the Way Campaign of $1.1 million:

  • To assist with renovations in Cedarwood Nursing Care Center by enhancing the comfort and convenience of its residents with a number of improvements. ($450,000)
  • To support and grow our Benevolent Care fund ($350,000)
  • To help speed the purchase of two emergency generators for electric power ($200,000)
  • To assist with relief from COVID-19 related expenses ($100,000)

Thanks to busy volunteer leaders, lead donors and other generous donors we have now met Sodexo’s $250,000 giving challenge and have met our $1.1 million minimum goal.  Generous giving during October 2021 helped us get an additional $10,601 for the campaign from TriCounty Community Network through the Amazing Raise also!

The Lighting the Way Campaign will run through the remainder of 2021.  We believe two of the most significant campaign objectives, Benevolent Care and the Cedarwood Renovation project, would benefit from additional funds that might be contributed between now and the end of 2021. Raising more money for Benevolent Care, a critical aspect of Frederick Living’s ministry since our founding, will allow us to serve more people today and tomorrow. The COVID-19 crisis, supply chain delays, inflation, and workforce shortages have dramatically increased the cost of Cedarwood renovations. Any additional funds raised will be a “Godsend” for this vital project.

We welcome any gifts or multi-year pledges. We also welcome planned gifts such as naming Frederick Living in your will or doing a charitable gift annuity or other planned gift. Gifts of appreciated stocks or securities is also a great way to give with tax benefits.  Gifts are also welcome from churches, businesses or other organizations who support our mission.  If you have any questions about ways in which you can support the campaign, please call Amy Cummings-Leight, Frederick Living Director of Advancement at 610-754-7878 Extension 1250 or e-mail her at .
