As CEO of Garden Spot Communities, Steve Lindsey is the keeper of the unique and vibrant culture that Garden Spot Communities is known for throughout the country and around the world. He has a proven track record of innovation and searches for new ideas by continuously evaluating his surroundings. He has more than 25 years of administrative experience in retirement community and rehabilitation hospital industries and was instrumental in developing the new Guidelines for Residential Health, Care and Support Settings. He serves on the board of directors for the Society of Gerontological Environments (SAGE) as well as on the editorial advisory board for Environments for Aging. In July 2019, Steve was identified by Senior Housing News as a Changemaker, one of the pioneers driving the future of senior living. He holds a Master of Social Work from Temple University and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences.
As the Executive Director and Nursing Home Administrator for Frederick Living, Michael guides the day-to-day work of Skilled Nursing, Personal Care, Memory Care, Dining and General Operations at Frederick Living. Michael known for his unwavering commitment to enhancing resident, family, and staff satisfaction. With a profound understanding of regulatory compliance, Michael leads with a blend of strategic vision and compassionate care. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from The Catholic University of America in Washington DC, and a Master’s degree in Aging and Long-Term Care Administration from the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, Michael combines academic excellence with practical expertise. His dynamic approach and dedication make him a respected figure in the field of senior living and care.
Julie coordinates daily compliance activities with the Compliance Officer. These activities include audits, responses to hotline calls, and leading the organization’s Compliance Committee. As a function of this role, the Compliance Official coordinates with the Privacy Officer and Security Officer.
Emily Messner holds a Bachelor of Science in History from Juniata College in History. Emily’s passion for history and engaging with older adults empowers her to enrich residents’ lives, helping them find purpose in community through groups and activities. Her dedication to resident engagement highlights her unique approach to nurturing a vibrant and supportive environment for all residents at Frederick Living.
Chaplain O’Hara is an experienced Ministry Director with a demonstrated history of working in the health, wellness and fitness industry. He is skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Public Speaking, Program Development, Leadership, and Strategic Planning. He is a strong community and social services professional with a Th.D. focused in Theology/Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Seminary, Fla.
Greg leads the implementation and coordination of projects and initiatives associated with the achievement of the strategic plan, develops methods to monitor the progress and outcome of strategic projects, and manages the organization’s capital budget.
Within a nonprofit organization the board of directors ensures effective organizational planning and the fulfillment of legal obligations, provides financial oversight and improve the organization’s public standing.

Nathan Yorgey has over 20 years of experience in multiple Information Technology areas and is the President of North America Operations at CyberTwin, LLC. Nathan has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cedarville University (2000) and holds a Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurial Leadership & Innovation (2018) from Stevens Technical University. He holds multiple technology certifications and is a participating member of many industry vertical consortiums and committees.
Nathan attends Harvest Bible Fellowship Church in Colebrookdale, Pa., where he serves in various capacities. He resides in Boyertown, Pa., with his wife and 3 children. Previous church experience includes participating with Pastoral Search Committees, Men’s Ministry Leadership Team, Senior High Youth Group Leader, and the 2-year-olds class assistant.
In the community, Nathan has raised funds for the 150 Multiple Sclerosis City to Shore Ride for the Cure and the Leukemia Light the Night 2-mile Walk for the Cure.
Sharon Hohlfeld is the Vice President of Payer Contracting at Physicians Endoscopy, an organization that partners with GI physicians to manage GI practices to develop and manage single specialty Ambulatory Surgery Centers. She has been with the company since 2005 and has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare. Sharon oversees the Payer Contracting department. which is responsible for negotiating network agreements between Physicians Endoscopy partners and insurance companies.
Previously, Sharon worked for a home care staffing company where she managed the pediatric home care division, which provided up to 24-hour nursing services to families with medically fragile children. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Shippensburg University.
Sharon and her husband, Bill, have been married for more than 25 years and reside in Schwenksville, PA. They have two sons in college and enjoy attending their collegiate games, as well as traveling during the summer to watch them play baseball.
Michelle M. Forsell, Esq., was appointed to the Frederick Living Board in September 2017. She is a lawyer with Wolf, Baldwin & Associates located in Pennsburg, Pa. Her legal experience includes the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas, and serving with a large Philadelphia firm. Attorney Forsell serves on the Board of Directors of the Bar Association of Lehigh County and as an arbitrator of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. She is also an adjunct professor at Cedar Crest College in Allentown. Attorney Forsell focuses her practice on estate planning/administration and municipal law.
Greg began his career in his father’s construction business before transitioning into the financial services field in 1982 as an insurance agent with Prudential. After three years, he moved into management, where he served as a Sales Manager, District Manager, and Assistant to the Vice President of Regional Marketing.
In April of 1999, Greg joined Key Advisors Group in Reading and was instrumental in developing their estate planning educational seminars and was able to build his financial planning practice. In August of 2015, Greg opted to spend the last portion of his career working from his residence, where he established a branch office, retiring in April 2021.
Greg has been married to his wife, Gail, for over 40 years, and they live in Boyertown. They have three children and four grandchildren. He spends much of his free time at his hunting camp in Potter County and looks forward to spending more time with his family and serving the Lord in retirement.
Robert (Bob) Nase is a Registered Architect and has been licensed in Pennsylvania for over 20 years. He is experienced in educational, municipal, ecclesiastical, mixed-use, retail, commercial, industrial, medical, dental, and healthcare space planning, institutional, and a wide variety of custom residences and additions, including preliminary planning and feasibility studies.
Bob is active in the Deep Run West Mennonite Church, including serving as an Elder. In the community, he serves on the Upper Salford Township Planning Commission, Planning Commissioner (1998 to present); PA UCC Indian Valley Regional Appeals Board, Chairman (2008 to present); Upper Salford Township Park Board Member, Chairman (1994-1998); Red Hill Christian School Board Member (2006 to 2012), and Chalfont Borough, Bucks County Municipal Property Maintenance Code Appeals Board (2013 to present).
Stieven (Steve) Weidner works in the Information Technology field. He has IT Manager/Director and consultant services. Steve’s other related work includes operations, design and hosting/cloud computing, relationship management, and business risk/crisis management experience.
Steve is active with New Hanover Evangelical Lutheran Church, having served as Chair of the Mutual Ministry Committee, former Financial Secretary for the Sunday School, Youth Advisor and various committees. In the community, he has been involved with the High School Ski Club (chaperone), Little League Coach (former), and Soccer League Coach (former).
Steve Weidner has two adult married children and three grandchildren. His hobbies include snow and water skiing, boating and travel.
James (Jim) Landis spent half his life on a family farm processing eggs laid by 45,000 chickens. When interest rates skyrocketed and equipment needed to be replaced, seeking another field of employment seemed a better option. Jim became an apprentice in the plumbing and heating field, which led him to begin his own business. Upon his retirement, the business continues to be run by family members.
Jim is active in Bally Mennonite Church. He has served in many roles over the years, including church council chair, advisor to the youth group, involvement in the pastoral search and teaching Sunday School. Jim uses his gifts of service in the community through his involvement with The Open Link and Meals on Wheels. He has also taken part in service projects through the local church and Mennonite Disaster Service.
Jim and his wife have three children who are married and nine grandchildren. His hobbies include reading church periodicals, hunting, participating in activities with his grandchildren and enjoying creation, especially in Sullivan County.
Joe Genuardi is a resident of Frederick Living and former president of the Frederick Living Resident Association (FLRA). He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and a Master’s in Business Administration from Wilkes University in Wilkes Barre, Pa. His business experience has been focused on an emphasis in healthcare cost containment. Joe has been Region Manager for Vector Health Systems (Providence, R.I.), Vice President of Hospital Central Services (Allentown, Pa.), Vice President of the New Jersey Hospital Association (Princeton, N.J.), and President/CEO of MAGNET, a consortium of hospital associations located throughout the northeastern United States.
Joe has been married to his wife Jane for more than 55 years. They have three children and five grandchildren. They are members of St. Eleanor Parish in Collegeville. Joe is also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3633 in Schwenksville, Pa.
In his free time, Joe enjoys golf and fishing and is a volunteer at Valley Forge National Historical Park in the Visitor Center and is a member of the Hut Brigade.
