Memory care is a specialized form of long-term care designed to meet the needs of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other brain changes.
This residence provides structured support and 24-hour care with a soothing homelike environment under the guidance of licensed memory care experts.
These professionals have advanced training to handle the unique behavioral and cognitive challenges of dementia, helping residents live with dignity and comfort.
Frederick Living is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) that offers independent living, personal care, memory care, and skilled nursing on a centralized campus. The CCRC model allows residents to enter at the independent living phase and transition to the level of care they need throughout their life or enter at any stage in the healthcare continuum.
While both personal care and memory care provide support with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and medication management, memory care services are specialized.
Memory care communities provide a secure environment—designed to allow residents to move freely and comfortably within a protected, monitored setting. Residents also have the opportunity to participate in activities like art and music that can help to improve cognitive function, engage socially, and limit stress and confusion.
