On Wednesday, June 16th, 2021, Frederick Living kicked off the public phase of its 125th Anniversary, Lighting the Way Campaign. The campaign focuses on renovations to Cedarwood Health Care Center, support for Benevolent Care, assisting with the purchase of emergency power generators to sustain power to the main building on campus, and relief from COVID-19 effects.
The campaign is Co-Chaired by Frederick Living Board Chair Warren Tyson and residents Ruby Ifkowitz and Bonnie Kauffman. Campaign supporters and campaign volunteers were thanked for their generous gifts of time, talents and resources. Leadership donors were recognized, including a number of individuals and Univest Corporation. The event also featured a special presentation to Sodexo, who is supporting the campaign with a $250,000 matching gift challenge.
The campaign, which is scheduled to conclude at the end of 2021, has received gifts and pledges of more than $852,000 toward a $1.1 million campaign goal in this anniversary year.
