“Vertigo Versus Instability” with April Gilman
January 9, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST
Dizziness is a vague term, so it’s important to determine what one is talking about based on a description of what one is feeling. Based upon a description, you can better determine between light-headedness, vertigo, near syncope, or gait problems/general instability. Dizziness is an imprecise term patients often use to describe various related sensations including faintness, light-headedness, or spinning, where vertigo is a false sensation of movement of the self or the environment. We will attempt to further distinguish between these similar issues and shed more light on true vertigo versus other instability problems. April Gilman, Physical Therapist, will give an overview of signs and symptoms and what therapy treatment is available.
